I was wondering what programs the automator uses? Is it all built in stuff with the mac? I am assuming its photobooth, but after that what program is being used to have the photos imposed 3 up?
Yea, but intel has the best random performance at small writes, where as the others are good at sequential writes. Small random is good for day to day tasks, and sequential is good for ripping a dvd to your drive. Most people get small drives, so whats the point of having a crazy high sequential? The random small writes is the key to speed!
I feel like that last comment only strengthens my case, but CMYK on screen looks nothing like CMYK on paper. Maybe that's only because I use a front light for my prints..........
I work as both a web designer and a prepress technician, and have no idea who needs the "color accurate displays". When working on a website, I use a 23 inch dell s2309w which is a tn panel with 72 percent of the gamut, pretty much the same color quality at least 60 percent of the audience that I am reaching will be looking at. So why would I wan't to see something different then my audience?

Then for print, any designer that trusts anything on screen is crazy, as it will never look that way once its been printed. Only way to tell for sure is print the thing off. And when I'm doing print work i am on a 23 inch ACD, and still wont trust it as far as I can throw it(speaking of which it fell off my desk once onto hardwood, got a little nick in the back of it, but works perfectly).

You would think that if its possible for them to reprogram the cell phone to do this that they cant be that far from just making a cell phone just for this purpose? Makes sense in my mind.

I'm gunna wait for the next version, were a 7 inch screen pops out of the 10 inch side screen, so that the complete right side of my periphery is covered.
I agree but make it slate. Who needs a keyboard anyways?
Macbook air is a netbook? When did that happen? I thought rumors were of a supposed mac netbook coming. not that one was already out? Maybe i was misinformed? I mean it has an intel core 2 duo, and a 13.3 inch screen? I believe its in the category of sub-notebook. Where i think this one should also be.

The point of my first post is i dont really see this as a netbook. Its more of a depression ready notebook. I mean its cheap enough to still afford and will work for most of what of the world has to do at there jobs. Cept for us people reading engadget, on our dual 23 inch ACD's on our 8 core bohemoths, running crysis on the second screen just so our graphics cards stay warm.
new rule, all netbooks can only be up to 10.2 inches for screen size.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
