1 Question: Can Tivo HD do multiroom and Tivo2Go with HD programming. I'm assuming you need another Tivo HD to do the multiroom?
So I got my iPod Touch 16GB 2 days ago. 1st day, it became non-respnosive so I connected it to iTunes which detected it in Recovery Mode. Was able to get it back up and running and re-imported all my music, vids, pics. Day 2, same thing happened except this time, the iTunes restore process wouldn't work ('unknown error (1604)') Back to Apple it goes and waiting for next generation to work out the bugs. Was thinking about returning it anyway - its IMPOSSIBLE to hold in your hand. Its beautiful but so slippery and was clearly not designed to be held easily.
Its time for me to replace my Rio PMP 300.
Same question as Eric. Can you add an ATI DCT to a "non CableLabs Certified" Media Center. Seriously, if you guys have an extra Vista Media Center around, can you plug it in and have it work on a machine other than the Dell XPS 410?
So it looks like any CableCard Media Center will need an additional 'black box' (Digital Cable Receiver) instead of just being integrated into the system. I thought this was the reason for Cable Cards in the first place - no need for additional black boxes? I've been waiting for 2+ years for this and it turns out that even if its Cable Card Certified, you'll have additional wires, additional power supply needs, etc...sucks...
Can somebody explain something to me. Can I build my own Vista Media Center and buy one of these All-In-Wonder Boxes or do I have to buy a Cablelabs certified Media Center PC AND this ATI box?
Open Letter To Sony:

Lose the UMD, put a 60-100GB hard drive in the sucker, open up your firmware with APIs so 3rd parties can add on their own software and *presto*, there's your fabled "iPod killer." Its staring you in the face, yet you don't see it.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
