@Broderbund Oh yeah, I got one of those, how good are they?? Expensive though
@va jj Who.. would want...a 30" laptop???
@elokito Brian is most likely talking about the DISK DRIVE sounds that this update addresses, not the boot up 'chime'. Some people actually chose to disable the 'chime'. Another known fact is that if you shutdown your computer whilst in 'mute', the chime does not sound the next time you turn the computer on.
I wonder if it would work if I downloaded the app here from Australia, and just went around random places saying there was no coverage! Hehe!
@Slutty McNugget Hmm.. hopefully it's not as slow as our current E-paper tech
@MJGAMER 1991 XBL Who says they can't read this? They might have someone reading it out to them or they have their own Braille reader so they can use the computer.
@rafael

Where did you get the info that the thinner a tv is, the crappier the quality is?
You should mean "Cue Wireless Carriers whining"
It won't work in the states, it is DVB/T which the states doesnt use, the states use ATSC... according to this info...

What makes you think we only have one channel?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
