As far as treatment by adults goes, sliding the laptop across a conference room table or cubicle desk was all that was necessary to dig those scratches into the finish.
I remember Apple going on record as stating something to the effect of "we can't figure out how to make a sub $1000 computer that isn't garbage." Well, here is a $999 Apple computer which pretty much proves they were right all along.
Hardware is tough to shrink down to something useful like this example. The future, my friends, is "augmented reality."

I'm voting you up for that one!
I actually sold my BlackJack II (Windows Mobile 6.1) smartphone for the Samsung Eternity featurephone. The reason was simple - I wanted Internet access (an unlimited data plan) through AT&T. They charge you $30 extra a month if you have a smartphone - even if you have an unlimited messaging family plan. That price drops to $10 a month with the Eternity featurephone. I tried to reason with AT&T on their "logic" but it was pointless.

My new featurephone has a larger screen, better graphics, a better camera and for daily Internet usage, that larger screen is going to be more useful than the smartphone's screen. All the AT&T rep could tell me is smartphones download more data than featurephones. There are a few things I miss about my BlackJack II but performance certainly is not one of them.
I tend to equate Radio Shack with buying batteries. My father had this battery buyer's punch card. After a few trips to the store, you'd get a free battery - no kidding! Once I grew up, I learned Radio Shack really had no purpose in my life.
Hello Kitty? Is that you?
Dude, booting into Windows on a MBP? You could have saved a thousand bucks and just bought a PC.
Now I know what to spend that $100 I have just lying around doing nothing.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
