@Solidstate89 SSDs are still faster than disks even without TRIM. I've been using a cheap 30GB SSD as my OSX system/boot drive for over a year now and it still outperforms standard SATA disks in most tests. Most SSDs don't support TRIM anyway.

So, you'd actually be stupid NOT to be using an SSD.
Sorry to barge in with an actual relevant question but I noticed on the spec sheet that the device has a rated lifetime of 10,000 hours. I'm curious as to what component would have the limited lifetime. The laser perhaps?

Says 1.3GHz. Fail. If it was 2.5GHz+ I'd actually consider one of these as a secondary to my MacBook Pro. I can't live with such a slow processor though.
@sonicfury At least they didn't call it an LED screen like most stores do, making people believe the display technology is somehow different. Wow, no tube for a backlight? Amazing!
@emceephi You mean your browser crashes when it loads Engadget. Browsers should not crash no matter what any website does so don't blame Engadget, blame your browser.
@Veon I would have expected the extra 400MHz to make up for the extra pixels. Nope.
Hey is that the Engadget logo?
If only they made the contest about penis holding instead, no women would have died.
Yay for having to manually encode entities ;)
Thanks for incorrectly parsing my message Engadget ;)

Still <3 my 3GS :)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
