I'll be running into the truck while seeing what's going on in front of it.
The only monitor out there that I know is display port only is the Apple Cinema 24" and it's glossy screen, no thanks to that and this clunky ugly converter box.

iPhone already has official phonetic inputs and hang writing recognition for both traditional chinese and simplified chinese. If that's not enough, there are a lot of other IME one can installed in a jailbroken iPhone. So, typing chinese will be as hard as typing english, really.

So, I can hide the HDMI cable ... but what about power cord?

If I need to re-do my wall for power cord, how much more work is to put the HDMI cable into it, I really don't see the point here.

I don't think it is fair to blame Apple for not supporting legacy hardware to bring down cost and reduce bugs. Windows doesn't even support any non-x86 CPU other than a version for IA64 if I remember correctly.

Come on, if a large truck wants to pass you, you are obviously driving too slow.
Google map license does not allow it to be used for turn-by-turn direction.
