Look at Steve Fossett, he's rich, knew what he was doing and tragically, he's been missing for two weeks. Colin has piloted a rally car for over two decades, won a world championship yet he has no business flying a helicopter? Just because your friend spends "100s of hours" in a simulator doesn't mean he can handle everything. If there's anyone I'd want to pilot my helicopter, it'd be Colin McRae.
