they are way cool!
i'll buy my girl-friend such a set instead of the stupid gucci-bag she is always asking for.

but no other infos: is there a built in battery, rechargeable? how long and how loud do they play from one charge? what speaker-design bass-reflex?
please test them! :)
i have to confirm that bose is maybe overpriced but their sounddock portable ist probably the best sounding compact speaker-system for ipod that really kicks ass for its size.
i have heard dozens of them, harman kardon go&play, logitech pure-if, altec lansing im7 etc... most of them are huge but still suck compared to their size. the go&play sounds incredible when run plugged in, but from batteries it's tinny.
the soundock portable is small as a netbook, sounds really huge for what it is, and it can play for up to 12 hours from one charge at normal listening-levels.
it is definitely not hifi, but i wouldn't even bother carrying a true hifi system to the beach or to the park.
the sounddock portable is always with me when i am on a picknick and i enjoy listening to the music with it so much, that even at home i rather prefer putting my ipod inside and turning it on, than using my big hifi-system.
as already mentioned the touch sensitive buttons are crap, but apart from that it is the best portable speaker around.

this new system though, i have no idea what it's for. i can do anything it does with an iphone connected through wifi and stream my music through simplify or listening to wifi-radio with tuner etc. so no idea what this new one will do better, but i am sure it will sound exactly the same as the sounddock portable.
i drive a BWM C1 every day to work and back, which makes about 40km a day. i love it. i can drive it during strongest rain and only become slightly wet on the elbows. i also drive it in winter, except when there is snow on the road.
the C1 is certainly not the most beautiful and the fastest motorcycle around, but it is the most practical one. it has 176ccm and i can drive on highways with about 120km/h. but in usual town-traffic it uses about 3.2 l/100km which is really low compared to other motorcycles. i had a honda shadow with 90ccm and it took nearly twice as much fuel.
i also love the concept of the HYmotion3 because it looks like a mixture of C1 and piaggio MP3. i was always interested in the MP3 because of the better stability with the 2 tires in front. now the HYmotion3 takes advantage of both technologies. the only thing that would really make it perfect was a similar safety-concept like the C1 had. you have to wear seat-belts, have a saftey-cage and a crumpy zone and don't need to wear a helmet.
i still hope that this is not only a concept but peugeot really thinks about bringing this guy into production. my C1 will not live forever (but hopefully still long enough), so i need a substitute sooner or later.
how long will this play with one charge? i get about 3 hours with my ipod touch and tuner, that's a bit weak to tell the truth. can this play longer?
it looks really fake. the camera should have changed the position, so we see how the perspective changes. but as it looks now, this could really be some superimposed video-track over a stupid guy waving around.
i would like to know what it can do with wifi?

what are the possibliites? i would also like to listen to some shoutcast streams, is there a way?

it took more than a year to get this feature on the iphone with apps like tuner or allradio, but both apps are still a bit buggy, one without any ability to control volume, the other one sucking the battery within one hour...

maybe creative did a better job?!
what about tuner? have you tested this app? how good is it for streaming web-radio stations?
crap? just listen to the bose sounddock portable, and then show me another speaker of similar size (or even bigger) that is able to produce such rich sound with equally deep bass.
of course it is not high end hifi sound. but it is the best portable speaker that i heard so far. if you find another, please let me know.

ps. that bose is way overpriced is another story...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
