Austin, TX, USA ya'll - but originally from Cambridgeshire, UK
This is welcome - since moving to the US I've plumped for the more expensive option of getting Edge sent to me, mostly because US based gaming magazines seem to be written by 3 year olds (WOAH DUDE L33T! CHECK THESE SCREENSHOTZ!) and frequently don't cover aspects of the industry/technology to sufficient depth. When my current subscription expires I'll be swapping ;)
I got my DC for $5, I'm still in love with it. My brother in the UK has my original with my entire game library, including House Of the Dead 2 with twin guns, Sega Bass Fishing.

Even now Power Stone and Chu Chu Rocket rule. If anyone knows where to get the VGA cable from that used to be available please post here!
Simply put to beat Sony to market, and anyway, is HD DVD really that important? People buy consoles to play games on them, DVD support is a nice to have. It certainly wont stop me buying a good quality HD-DVD player when the format wars have calmed down some anyway :P
Yawn, buy both of them, and shut up about which is better - there'll always be competing formats as long as we live, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Until they announce a) a price b) a launch date c) launch titles, it's still vapour ware to the general public.
Gamertag : deafblind Zone : Pro Games : Call Of Duty 2, PGR3, Perfect Dark Zero, Tiger Woods, Geometry Wars, Amped

"What's the best gaming laptop for under 1,500 bucks? I had my eye on the P7805u (Gateway), but it seems Best Buy has run out for the time being. Also, as a secondary question, I like the specs on brands such as iBUYPOWER and CyberPower and the like, but are they reliable? I'm a little worried about buying labels that aren't huge like Dell, Gateway, etc. Thanks!"
