Ireland actually moved away from the "Schuko" (European Plugs) in the 60s
to the BS 1363 (three pin UK) when you guys switched from the old round pin
plugs that the South Africans still use.
The BS 1363 plug was designed to be safe because UK homes are wired
rather badly. The "ring" wiring system used in the UK was designed after
WW2 to conserve copper, not for safety.
Irish households are wired similar to German houses, they don't use the
"ring" setup that's common in the UK.
In the future hopefully all of the EU will switch to the international standard
IEC 60906-1 which the Brazilians are currently switching to.
It's safer than the BS 1363, smaller and can carry more current.
Switching to the European standard plug is actually being considered in ireland ATM
as a way of reducing the cost of electrical appliances.
I wouldn't include ireland in that UK of yours... bad things happen when you do that....
Here in ireland we use the same plug.

The design of this is frigging inspired.
SBSettings does that... and a lot more...
I bought 2 drobos and a droboshare. Performance from the thing was terrible.
I was using it as a media server. It couldn't manage more than one video
playing at the same time.

I put the lot up on eBay and bought a Synology DS508 and a pile of 2TB HDs.
My hobby is flying hot air balloons.
We use a Genie BGT-31 and a small symbian/iphone app.
The guys in the retrieve vehicle have a Dell D820 with an
Option wireless Gobi 2000.
They track us on google earth with real-time updates every
10 seconds.
As far as I understand its a pea sized amount of deuterium.
A 500TW lase pulse is directed at the target hitting simultaneously
from all directions. The idea is that the surface of the deuterium
becomes plasma and causes the deuterium to collapse in on itself.
The goal is that fusion will occur in the compressed deuterium.

They've tried this several times before with other lasers and every
single time they say they need a bigger laser to achieve ignition.
This is just the latest attempt.
Another happy WRT610N customer here.
You can also run DD-WRT on it. Though it isent officially supported yet.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
