I love Tim Schafer's work, but I'll be honest here: the dreaded "RTS elements" killed any interest in this game for me.

On a brighter note, hopefully it will bring "RTS fans" into Schafer's universe-there seem to be a lot of them out there.
You are correct. I do not think the word means what the author thinks it means.
Yeah, I remember this was supposedly a huge negative for the original iPhone, when it was on EDGE. Then, no one ended up really caring.

It is ironic that AT&T runs this now, after complaining that Verizon's commercials didn't take into consideration the vast EDGE network that AT&T maintains.
Wait, you let a commercial determine what you buy?

Damn.
I think its great. I had already finished Mass Effect and put it away by the time they got around to putting out the DLC-just wasn't inclined to go back by then. I much prefer to have it come out asap.
Where has Apple said they hope to sell 550K iPhones in China by the end of the year? Link?
Sorry, but "better" in this case is pretty subjective. Some of us prefer to have better control over who has the ability to contact us thru something as intrusive as messaging.

I'll wait to see what all the privacy issues are before subjecting everyone in my address book :p
On the one hand, good for him-the App Store needs some serious overhauling.

On the other hand..coming from an employee of FACEBOOK, one of the most closed systems on the internet...
@fuzzball: "When using data on the phone itself, one isn't limited to the amount of data transferred."

Really? My understanding is that Verizon charges $30/month for smartphone data plans, and that is CAPPED at 5GB/month, not "unlimited". They charge you 5 cents/megabyte if you go over that.

Then, if you add tethering, they are giving you 5GB/month MORE, for a total of 10GB/month for $60/month, and will charge you by the megabyte over that.

Where did you find "unlimited data on the phone itself" on Verizon's site?
(FWIW, AT&T's iPhone plans currently are as you describe)
So now they've edited the ad, but deleted the GPS reference too? Panic mode, indeed.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
