Which is probably why it is saying it is happening to SOME people, and NOT EVERYONE.
Yeah, this is an odd announcement. Android isn't really even out to the masses yet. The most people know about it is the recent commercials about it, they know nothing about what devices it is on yet, or will be on in the future.

Give it a few years, THEN get back to us.
Yeah, it's a bit late into the game to be releasing this. It will take a year or two for developers to pick up steam on this and maybe release a game worth buying. By that time, the next Wii HD and XBox 720, PS4 will be on the horizon.

Even at $50, it'll be too late in this generations lifetime to release it.

Just pack it in with the XBox 720 so everyone has it, and let all devs go nuts with it from day 1.
Why doesn't OSX support Blu-Ray yet?

They were championing it every chance they got back when Microsoft was showing off HD-DVD.
The SE 1 are the matching surrounds.

I'm not sure what the reasoning behind this is, but a lot of higher end speaker companies also do this as well. Luckily the store a block away from me sell them and I was able to test them out against others and I walked out pretty happy, and I still have them.
Well, it worked for me ten years ago. I did a test vs B&W and I went with Paradigm. The difference in sound was pretty noticeable for me at the time. So I guess that makes it 1001?

Comcast charges $11.95 for the DVR, then $5 for the HD "functionality" to the DVR typically. People over at AVS are paying a total of almost $17 a month when taxes are figured in.

Yay you for getting a promotion, but that doesn't really can't be used to factor into the cost as promotions vary and a lot of people may not be able to even get them.

That said, I couldn't live without my TiVo. I've expanded it to well over 1T by simply plugging in an external drive I picked up at Best Buy. I love the UI, I love the guide data, I love everything about it.
This is great news for those four or five networks that are doing this on their own, but what about the other couple hundred that will not?

A law needs to be passed so that I can send the FCC complaints for them to smack down channels like History Channel International that goes from quiet TO REALLY REALLY LOUD OBNOXIOUS COMMERCIALS at 1am when I'm trying to watch Pharaohs build pyramids quietly while my wife is sleeping next to me.

Nothing will happen on its own, government needs to do its job and start governing.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
