"The really, really hard part is that you've got so many different kinds of devices running on different operating systems. And how do you handle that?..."

Easy. You don't.Concentrate on a robust, scalable and open file format that everyone can adopt and then let independent developers make readers. The market will choose the readers with the interface that they like but still consume the media as in app purchases. Payments would be handled on a login to a centralized account that handles all purchases/subscriptions. Sometimes I'll want to read on my iPhone, sometimes on my work laptop, and sometimes on my HTPC. And I'll guarantee you, I won't buy an edition for each. If a device is closed to independent developers, they will develop for your format because consumers want this to happen.
What i want to know is how such a big car can have less passenger space than my 93 Honda Accord
Yeah, I've already got a pile of mini USB chargers on my desk from people who got new Blackberrys.Standardization is great but its going to cause an e-waste bubble before it changes anything.
If anyone is going to figure out how to defeat jammers, it'll be someone with nothing better to do all day than to figure out how to defeat jammers. For twenty years with good behavior.
The question I have about jailbreaking is, can you still sync with iTunes and use purchased apps.
Shazam says its Saddic Gladdic by Wagon Christ.
I like how the people in the back can't have legs. I guess as a 6'04" guy with a family I have no option but to buy an SUV or keep my 93 Honda Accord. I want a green car too.
I use the hell out of AirTunes. What's wrong with AirTunes? I have music streaming from my bedroom to my living room and kitchen. I hope to have every room hooked up one day. Bathroom, back porch, everything. It streams Apple Lossless and to my golden ears, it sounds great.
I can't afford a five old model of the car I want and they don't even make hybrid versions of it yet. For reference I'm talking about the RAV4, CRV, Forester segment.
I also think that they will kill the classic but I think it's a shame. Since the slimmed dow to the 120GBs, the 160GBs go for as much as $700 on ebay because there are people like me out there with massive music collections (650GB last I looked) who want to access them on the go.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
