Could someone check on hell's fire?
@UnixSystemsEngineer
I think thats why they used 100 feet as a qualifier. Its not hard to interfere w/ a 5GHz signal and I dont think it will perform well in a large house across a couple floors. We'll see.
@hp
They didnt think up something new; they're only now seeing it fit to implement. More importantly, w/ American manufacturing (and everything else) moving out, you dont expect much to happen states side, do you?
@INsano "--this coming from someone who speaks like Yoda..."

Yea, and writes like him too!
But seriously mikeweezer, if there was a man behind her the content would have been different.
@Solipsism
True. I dont care much about how thin it is - no one ever comes over and stare at the edge or side of my TV. The action is on the front so I'd rather have a thin bezel or none at all, and have the electronics stuffed in the back.

Hopefully, the usual bevy of connections will all be included; Im not a lover of wireless.
@ebowen
Exactly! Any mobile DTV receiver should be built-in or attachable w/ minimal footprint. Whats the use in carrying around and having to account for yet another gadget? I'd rather pack an extra battery.
@dedparrot
That was the first thing on my mind. I prefer the 'bulked up' approach as there are just too many dedicated gadgets to tote around. DTV should be converged and it beats me as to why this is being looked at favorably. iBias maybe??
@scottkrk
Now we'll need Flash blocking apps/extensions for mobile browsers. When will we learn?
Im reminded somewhat of the Avatar 'scorpion'.
@mikethebigo
Is it reasonable to expect this in any mobile phone by summer? I would say 2011 sometime.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
