Because for many, this is the first time they will get to use an Apple Mac. Remember, this is only the 2nd store from Apple to open in Scotland.

Shock people want to actually see a computer they wouldn't be able to play around with online.
"It's exactly the opposite: the weak dollar makes U.S. goods cheaper for foreigners."

Yes, but we foreigners have to go to our own countries Apple store to buy the goods. We cannot order from, and have items shipped from the U.S Apple online store.

We still pay waaayyyy over the odds for the same item in our country.

About time Apple came to scotland.
So, does that mean we can upgrade our harddrive based iPods with flash-based media? Meaning increased storage, less volatile media, faster read speeds and increased battery performance, whilst also recovering broken iPods?

Sounds like a new business model!
in a Cupertino, CA City Council meeting recently, saying that they bought up "every little scrap of building we could find in Cupertino," which makes Apple Cupertino's "largest taxpayer,"

Engadget! You do this everytime.

UK (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland) = England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland

Great Britain = England, Wales, Scotland

England = England

Unless you specifically know you're _just_ talking about England, it's best to say 'UK'.

No encryption - True.
Reports stats badly - WRONG. Transmission fixed this ages ago!
No DHT - WRONG. Had this for a long time.
No settings for the number of connections - WRONG.
No lazy bitfield support - no idea.
No web interface - Pfft.
Auto-import won't work if you use it over a network - Pfft.

Downloaded the latest beta.
Why screw the EU? They're looking after their citizen's consumer rights.

This isn't about generating revenue for the sake of it.

It's all about laws and citizen consumer protection.

Something the U.S government is scared or has to priorities to do.
Well, it's probably safe to assume they're using a favour of unix.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
