Same problem here. Installing from 10.6.2 on a MBP 13"
To clarify, I'm gearing this comment more towards Apple, with TUAW as the channel... Granted, it's absolutely pointless, but it's out there :P
Might want to make a distinction between Vintage and Obsolete systems... Vintaged systems are still very much supported, just with some restrictions...
More info? Is this public or private beta? Running 64-bit here, this update means nothing to me >_
I primarily use AIM due to its popularity and most of the people I know having it. However, our work staff uses Jabber/GTalk to chat amongst ourselves, hence the need for a multi-protocol App for on the go! (Oh, and I have *one* person I know that's using Yahoo!, so I keep an account for her...)
A strong note of caution to anyone who depends on an unlocked iPhone: That last point, "Updated modem firmware to 5.08.01," means that you NEED to wait for the Dev Team to update their tools before you update, or you risk LOSING the ability to unlock for an indeterminate amount of time!
Yup, called it... :-( No more Life... Ugh...
Me too, my favorite comment:

"But seriously, I can't see too many people trading in their Treos (Palm or WM5), HTCs etc for an MP3 phone. I don't think it'll make much of a dent in that space."
I ordered two of these about a month ago... Unfortunately, they're on back order, and keep getting delayed... I guess that's what happens when you find the cheapest dealer out there... But I am excited to get these, especially now with this review!

Yes, although they really tied up a lot of loose ends... Not a great way to prepare for a new season :-/
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am trying to configure out a really dumbed down and intuitive PC for my grandmother. She recently had a stroke and while she is under my care I would like to repurpose a laptop for her to surf and email her children. Anyone have any experience with what input devices and UI's are really understandable for the over 80 crowd?"
