First photos of Fujitsu-Siemens' Scaleo Home Server {Engadget}

Aug 30th 2007 3:39PM This is a network attached storage device it only has USB, eSata, ethernet and power ports sure their might be a vga port hidden behind their somewhere, but this isn't a playback device WHS.

i.e. this doesn't connect to a tv or a monitor it's a NAS for backup purposes and media streaming(which will take a bit of work to get dvd ISOs working).

HD video: Roomba 560 vs Discovery {Engadget}

Aug 22nd 2007 5:45PM Good video. Honestly the 560 with it's stronger suction would most likely be slightly louder than previous generations and your video certainly proves that it's got a much deeper motor signature than my 4150(Target only model silver color same features as the Sage).

As far as the wire test goes, it's a vacumm with moving parts that make contact with the surface it's running over so of course it's going to get tangled with cords. I always remove cords and loosing fabric lying on the ground or place a vwall by them it's second nature you'd the same thing with an upright vac.

It's got the nice front caster that roomba put on the last gen late models which is a much better than the original roombas my Roomba Red(R.I.P) would constantly get long hairs and other junk stuck in that front wheel to the point where it would stop rotating.

TV Squad Daily with Brigitte - VIDEO {TV Squad}

Jul 30th 2007 4:16AM I love the detailed explaination Tom. However being an IT technician for about 4-5 yrs I'm pretty comfortable knowing my machine has plenty of horsepower to show her videos correctly. In hind sight I viewed a video of hers after making that comment and it appeared as though the audio and video were in sync it must just be the post processing she or her camera does that makes her appear that way. Oh well not a big deal.

TV Squad Daily with Brigitte - VIDEO {TV Squad}

Jul 29th 2007 8:55PM I have a question for her and as well with the rest of you?

What's the deal with her lips being ever so slightly out of sync with her voice coming out of my speakers either I'm hallucinating or she needs to get a better camera or see a specialist about her little problem.

Microsoft releases Windows Home Server to manufacturing {Engadget}

Jul 16th 2007 10:47PM I agree Peter it's very relieving to know I have a system in place for backups before this came along I did nothing. I leave my current MCE HTPC and my main system on pretty much all the time, but yes it is nice that it wakes up the system and then tucks it back into bed again.
