Really? the keyboard is the only thing on my macbook which is remained white? I've had the bezel replaced 3 times by "genius bar" they even apologised and replaced my shot battery for free. Score!
I really can't believe people complain that you don't get BBC HD for the fee £12 a month? When the switch over happens BBC HD will eventually come to terrestrial. Besides, if you shell out £150 for a freesat, you will. If you step but back and look at what you get from the BBC its great value for money, its not all for everyone, but i would take it over commercial channels any day. Personally I don't watch any other channel.
An ipod an unorthodox gift? please! And how is technology uniquely american? "United States is known for innovation and putting an emphasis on functionality rather than looks" but isn't that what a large amount of apple is all about? The beauty?

I like Obama and Apple but seriously while a picture is not great it only goes to people worth the honour, I got an ipod for christmas, its really not that special.
Wait, so what does that make people with a picture of an iphone as their icon?

And who cares if people who own smart phones don't know they're using one? The majority buy a phone on price point (which in many countries is actually free), looks, familiarity and to a lesser extent features. Its only really the kind of people that read these tech sites that care about the features and what is a smartphone. As standard phones get smarter the definition of smart phone gets blurred.

I really couldn't care less if a teenie bopper buys a blackberry!
But as wages are paid in pounds you don't really have to worry about it..
I get bored of hearing these complaints over here. You also pay more for tropicana orange juice over here but do I complain when i go to the stores? In a way its a benefit that we can go abroad and get it for less than americans do with respect to the percentage of our wage.

If you live in the UK and are getting paid in dollars or do complain about every product which we pay more for than the USA then apologies!
Some people want DVI, some want VGA some people even want S-video, should apple put all those connectors in for free?

You spend over $1000 dollars on a laptop, grand for your 40" high def tv but you're complaining about 20ish bucks for an adaptor. Stop being such a tight ass and realise that not everyone is in your boat and may want to keep the cost lower by not having the dvi connector that they'll never use.

Also HDMI is limited, Sony don't recommend connecting any PC to their high def tv's with HDMI.
What is everyones issue with MMS. In yesteryear it was semi useful when camera phones have less than svga quality cameras. But now the pictures are always resized, and squashed pictures from a crap camera phone is never pretty in the first place. For one i hate receiving them. MMS will surely be obsolete soon enough, email must be the way forward, its just more universal and free!

As for copy & paste and voice dialing, i've never needed it but i understand some people do so that is ridiculous
Where the hell did you get that UK pricing from?? And since when did phone contracts come in 2 year forms in the UK as standard? 18 months or a year is usual, and i doubt very much that £40 a month will be the cheapest price plan available.

Are you just making that up?

I'm intrigued if you're plucking these numbers out of the air, how do you know R&D costs of HTC? What makes you the authority of appropriate pricing for cell providers?

What a joke. If you don't think anything is appropriately priced don't buy it. These companies don't owe you anything, they decide. If enough people have the same sentiment as you they'll soon wake up and lower the price plan.

If you want to sell your house do you just take whatever a potential customer asks for? no, you decide the price and set it, and if it doesn't sell you lower it or make it a more attractive preposition.
Promised? Since when did apple promise to deliver push apps with 2.1? From what i remember they said around September?

Secondly, why do people insist on buying products knowing it doesn't do anything and then complain that it doesn't? Why buy an iPhone knowing it doesn't do GPS nav and it wasn't even mentioned that it would in the future then complain when its not there?

Surely thats just plain stupid?
You have a REALLY low threshold for comedy genius.
To be honest the copy/paste 'jokes' are wearing quite thin... i don't need it on my iphone but i just want them to implement it so i can stop reading comments about it
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
