Your title to this post is a little misleading. 60GB 1.8" drives have been out for a while (they're up to 80GB now). The news here is that this is the first drive to have 60GB on one platter (thus allowing for a slimmer form factor).
Shouldn't it be "Hangar 18"?
They need some real crime over there to keep themselves busy...
Mac The Ripper and Handbrake are *free* and work just fine. There's just no need for this product IMHO.
I hope he plans on buying Vista Ultimate if he wants to run it in Parallels since Microsoft was classy enough to preclude the Home editions from running in virtualization.
One should note, however, that this is likely their first DAP of several. It's almost certain that they have a flash-based DAP in the works to combat the nano. It's only a matter of time before it's introduced and invariably fails. Can't wait!
Why can some enterprising hacker just write a driver for this to take advantage of N today?
The playlist does not necessarily take precedence. It goes in alphabetic order. That's why if you hit M it goes to Movies first and not Music (Mo comes before Mu). It works the same with the list view in iTunes, Finder, and many others. If you wanted to go back to Music, for example, just type Mu.
It's a total fake. Check out the Front Row DVD icon. Why would you need that on an iPod?
I think the icon next to the Spotlight icon in the dock is Dashcode.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
