PSPgo packs a 480MHz processor, probably not crossing 333MHz mark {Engadget}
Jul 2nd 2009 8:40PM Another goofy design. They should have waited a little longer and revamped the whole thing with Tegra, dual analog, touch screen, flash based storage, etc.. The argument that old games won't be compatible with a dual analog version is bullshit as they simply won't use the other stick. I have a feeling Nintendo is working on a true DS successor with way better graphics and capabilities than the current version. Sony, again will be left in the dust as a jack of all trades and master of none.
its not that old games wont be compatible with with dual anologs , it is that NEW games wont be compatible with old PSPs. sony wants to keep the user base it already has. You dont just abandon 30/40 million royaltiy paying machines and move on to the next one. You wait for the platform to mature , for the hardware to become cheap. sony sold the psp at a loss to begin with and now they sell at a profit ( or premium even) , they would be foolish to make a new system now and abandon the old one.
the reason for the speed bump is obviously for an n64 emulator.. :D
