Mutliplayer? Must be a new kind of game mode!
Actually, the dev is not talking about motion controls at all. He's talking about moving back and forth on the z-axis of the game itself. It's a 2.5D game, with 2-3 levels of depth. (Yes I'm in the beta.)

The only thing motion controls are used for in the game are for aiming where your guy looks or leans. So adding motionplus support wouldn't really fix the problem anyway. :)

Everybody:
I know we're all sad/annoyed about the delay of GTA IV, but lay off the console wars a bit. This isn't about the 360 or the PS3 being harder to develop for, otherwise only one version would be delayed. This is Rockstar recognizing that the game needs more work and doing what is necessary.

I'm going to start deleting further console war comments, because they don't help anything and just get people worked up over nothing.

Thanks everybody!

You can create an internal virtual memory card on the PS3 and on the PSP. You don't need a physical card. :)

Stef,
Weta just modeled the Monster, didn't actually do any of the CGI work though.. The CGI was done by Orphanage, Inc:

Weta is doing the special effects for Heavenly Sword and were responsible for Lord of the Rings special effects, so I'd say they're a decent company. :)

The Host definitely shows its low-budget origins though. Not exactly the most high-end CGI ever...

Shaun,
Whoops, thanks. I misheard him (silly British accents). Post has been updated.

mccomber:
What are you talking about?

I mean, sure... Sony is funding the MGS movie. Sure, Sony has always been the primary platform for MGS games. And yeah, I'll grant that the MGS trailer is being shown at the Konami conference and the Sony conference, and nowhere else. And true, Hideo Kojima said it would only work on the PS3, but still man. You're missing the point!!

Wait... what was the point... oh yeah.

MGS 4 exclusive to the PS3. :)

Jeff:
A silly game trailer deserves a silly post. Sorry to insult your literary sensibilities. ;)

You get international play and gameplay balancing for free via the update. The new maps you gotta buy though. I think the map pack costs 6.99 or 7.99 (US).

Whoops, sorry! Thanks for the catch. I forgot that it was PGR 3 with the great in-car camera. Article has been updated appropriately. :D

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
