I guess "the press" is too dumb to realize that GM is just taking their European cars, scratching out "Vauxhall" and writing in "Saturn".

If you new the reputation and of Vauxhall, you'd understand "the hate".
Oh, bother. The FIA has to make a big deal out of everything.
Too bad Consumer Reports knows, precisely, dick about cars.
X5 meets PT Cruiser. Ew.
Heh, I'd watch it :)
'the heck? That was not even remotely funny. And, they used the wrong engine sound...or maybe that was on purpose. I don't know.
Wow, way to shove words down my throat... Let's pretend those sarcastic "you are perfect" and "America is the worst thing to happen" comments you made doesn't exist because I never said nor implied any such thing.

["Basically you're angry at us because we think that a person has a right to their ideas?"]
Do you seriously think that you have a right to an idea that no one else has? Do you really think that you are the *only* person out of SIX BILLION to have a specific idea at any given time? I hope not.

Ideas cannot be suppressed, hidden or kept secret because someone is bound to have the same idea (or copy it) eventually. This will makes the whole concept of "intellectual property" absurd and nullified.

["It's pretty much like identity theft."]
Uh, no. Identify theft is a stupid term, actually. Theft requires you actually deprive someone of a physical thing they own. If you "steal" someone's identify, it's still their identity, so you haven't "stolen" anything -- it's "fraud" and that's it. Likewise, you can't "steal" an idea or a concept as it's infinitely duplicable, in the same way you can't "steal" a flame, only make it stronger.

["I'm a design student right now and do some design work for my father's business, which produces all of it's product in the U.S.A., and is doing quite well, may I add."]
That's great! I'm just saying, that you shouldn't be relying on utilitarian propositions as law. You have no more right to make residual profits than anyone in any other sort of occupation.

And, by the way, there's no such thing as "extremely" illegal. It's either illegal or it's not, so stop using stupid adjectives in your failed attempts to express importance.
Wow, first post, and we're already bashing China using the ridiculous, over-Americanized concept of copyright.

I feel no sympathy for you guys. You outsource your dirt-cheap labour to sweat-shops in China so you can have your cheap, plastic crap from Walmart, and you expect them to honour your absurd concept of "intellectual property" (I like to refer to enforcement of such as "thought crime").

The fact is, you're screwed and there's nothing you can do about it. No one is going to vote for the candidate who releases your reliance on China for your boxstore goods, thereby raising the price of said goods five-fold, so that China will have any sort of incentive to enforce your thought crimes.

Look, I'm not saying China is perfect (they're civil liberties record is appalling), but you've got a long way to go before you can start throwing around insults and accusations.

["That's true, I forgot about that. As a designer, the only thing I really have before production is intellectual property"]
Then you need to seriously rethink your business model, because it has already failed.
I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do in an F1 car next year. He is clearly out-driving Champ Cars' capabilities.
Well, thanks, Autoblog, now there's drool all over my keyboard! ;)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
