OMG you are not going to believe this. They make actual real life keyboards!!!! They even have wireless ones that you can use from your couch! It's totally awesome! Touch screens are as much a fad now as they were back when they came out decades ago.
A Padd? Does it have LCARS?
@metaesapuet

He reminds me of the grim reaper from Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey, not so scary when you look at him that way.

That would be a yes. I canceled my digital service years ago because I couldn't stand the blocky images, and this was on a standard def TV.
Someone should tell them that forklifts work even better. You could lift a few thousand pounds of rice if you really want to.
If things go wrong they will only have to reverse the polarity of the beams, or fire a tachyon pulse, or maybe create a static warp shell,... I'm not sure which, but one of them should save us from certain doom.
Anyone know if USB3.0 will support SMART? That has always been an irritation for me but it seems that USB3.0 treats HDD's differently then older versions.
@Adam

It is for a kernel module yes. I'm not technically sure why though, I'm not a real software developer. I think it had something to do with needing object files for the currently running kernel or something like that. This was years ago last time I had it working, it was too much trouble to keep up with because every time the kernel needed to be updated I had to go thru it all over again.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
