Great idea as it is, I've never actually had any data corruption on a USB flash drive.

I never, ever, eject them, I just yank them out, and I've been using XP, Vista, and 7. Maybe some day one will corrupt (I know a couple of my friends have managed to corrupt theirs, but that's usually because they yank them while they're still being accessed)

But as I'm sensible and keep backups in more than one place, I'll just go out and buy another drive that's double the capacity of the old one for the same price I paid before, like I do every year anyway.
It looks a lot like the 2008 UK-model Honda Civic from the side, which I think is a very good looking car, and is extremely popular over here in the UK

I think as long as it's priced well (unlike the prius), it'll do well. The only problem is it's still competing with the Japanese (The horrible Toyota Prius, and actually very good Honda Insight), so that'll limit it's success.
Correction: No processor will ever be able to run the heap of junk that norton 360 (no, it doesn't deserve a capital n) is with any power left for anything else, on any operating system.
HTC are doing what they do. A new device every 12 months in each of their main ranges.

I'm now in a massive dilemma over whether to get this or the TP1 as a replacement for my current TyTN II, as my contract ends in July just as this is supposed to be released- sure T-Mobile are going to delay it by a thousand years like they did the original, but I could always just get the most valuable upgrade I can and do a bit of ebaying...

...everything sounds/looks so great, except the size :( i quite like the size of the TP1 and i'm not sure i would be willing to sacrifice the extra lateral space that an iphone sized version would consume...
i'm actually very impressed by vista

sure 8 months ago there were a few driver issues and it does occasionally lock up sometimes but since i've done a repair install months ago the only driver that has ever stopped working is the crappy one hauppauge won't update for my tv card

now that i've basically got it to the same software spec as I had on XP there's very little difference, and startups and shutdowns are much faster and more reliable. I've also never had one single virus with Kaspersky 7 running in the background, and like i said the only driver problem i've had since the repair install 2 months after i got it (i don't htink it upgraded properly) has been the hauppauge one
ihave had enough with people immediately calling things knock offs

i never knew that you were allowed to patent measurements???

this world has turned into a god damned "i love them so your just copying because one strand of your hair is the same length as theirs" - just because somebody makes an mp3 player thats the same size as an ipod but does twice as much, its immediately a copy or knock off, if someone makes a phone slimmer or smaller than a RAZ(o)R or SL(i)V(e)R that does more, its immediately a knock-off

HAVENT YOU FANBOYS EVER HEARD OF SOMETHING CALLED COMPETITION? you really should listen more in business studies - if something works, it gets used, like...maybe...a slim phone...or a white mp3 player
im stuck now

i was gonna get the n1 in a few months time when my upgrade time came along, but now i want the W100

oh well, im guessing itll be down to the reviews when the time comes around
please *puppy dog face* save me £400!!!
LordJezo: vofadone over here in the uk does that with all their vodafone live phones. its sodding annoying isnt it

when i upgrade i tend to buy a vodafone phone and get my phone shop to flash it to o2 as they dont brand their phones other than startup/shutdown. i dont know if you can do the same thing over there in the us but it certainly makes a good difference - sometimes it acticvates new features too
aaah so moto left the symbian group, so explains why they havent released the a1010 then. its a shame really, that was a great series

my biggest gripe about s60 symbian is the seperate menu key, which on every phone ive tried is miles away from a comfortable position. i much prefer just being able to tap the iddle of the joypad or press a softkey to get to the main menu
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
