Sad thing is, AMD do produce good chips. Intel can just pump out new and more advanced chips because their research budget is practically 100x what AMD has to work with.

Hopefully AMD will catch a break with this anti-trust suite they just won, and Intel will be have to stop bribing manufacturers with discounts and AMD chips will appear in more mainstream systems.
I like boxee in theory, but it does have some annoyances, they have a lot of problems when it comes to subtitle support, considering the other XBMC forks have almost perfect support you'd think it would be relatively quick and easy for them to patch
Oh, How i remember the days when Sony DAPs were considered the evil ones with horrendously limited codec support, forcing the conversion of all media to ATRAC and that horrible software.
I might just get one of these to give it a shot as a HTPC running XBMC or Mediaportal. If it can't handle it i'll give it to my mum, she needs a new PC anyway.
Sooo... what's the chances of a cheaper wi-fi peripheral for the 360. i want wireless for my 360 but the cost of the microsoft adaptor is stupidly prohibitive
Eh, Medion's notebooks are usually just rebadged MSI kit
maybe they plan to tie it into an event to launch the next gen ipod, or the iphone in the UK
even if its a bit of an ugly hack, you have to admire the tenacity of hackers. this is something that happened within 24 hours of its launch... just think of the hacks that will come in the next few months ;D
if there are IRC and instant messaging clients available for this thing i would so get it. i'd be able to stay in contact with my friends online when i go somewhere where i don't have the luxury of tanking my notebook with me :)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
