When using my 24" monitor in column view the default view is quite small for each column. It seems strange to have to manually increase the size of each column that gets truncated when there is so much spare screen real estate. Know of any way of changing the width? I'm mostly on SL but would also be useful on my Tiger machines.
I commented last week with a question but got no response so thought I'd try and phrase it better.

When I boot my mac with two USB hard drives connected as a daisy chain (via an internal hub) it only shows the secondary hard drive. To resolve the problem I have to disconnect the power from the first hard drive and then power it on again for mac os to "see" it. Is there a better (i.e. software) way of doing this?
Question: I have a USB hard drive with a hub built in which I have plugged into my mac mini. I have recently obtained another USB hard drive which I have plugged into the hub. Now when I boot my mac it will only load the second drive. Turning the drive off and on or plugging them in separately works but I'd like a software solution rather than buy an extra hub I shouldn't need.
I don't think there is a lot of grumbling about the TV license fee. Having watched the drivel that passes for american TV I'd happily pay the £10 a month to have a good selection of channels that carry no advertisments.
Nice to see the university getting a good project done after that big fire they had.
There's plenty of waterproof phones... just check out the Sony Ericsson SO902iWP+

"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
