I don't have a cable card.
My Name is Earl. Seems to provide extra content for the HD viewers.
I will give this a try, but the old version never worked with the RSS links I got from tvrss.net. I prefer fireant.tv player. Combined with RSS feeds from tvrss.net and you have a replacement for TiVo.
With open source operating systems, service providers would not be able to disable functions on their phones. Imagine all the stuff we could do!!! Frankly, I don't see VZW and Sprint going for that.
Sony will try anything, as long as they can tie it to a proprietary tech. The screen will cost double a regular screen (but I'm not bitter).
This sounds like a pretty awesome set. IIRC, black levels on a DLP are consistently better than black levels on an LCD so you shouldn't worry about the contrast ratio being weighted toward one end of the scale. 1080p is what I love. If I had the need and the means this is what I'd get.
So if I put a bowl of water and a waterproof flashlight on top of my current speakers, I'm gonna save a bunch of money right? And I won't be killed by those tripod looking things from Chicken Little?
Why are manufacturers even making 720p sets now? I know there is an argument about 720p is more lines of resolution per second than 1080i, but now there are 1080p sets available. Why isn't this the standard now?
Last day for a really cool phone.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
