You have solved the mystery of this press release. 20x energy density would be great but is incredible in the literal sense, not believable. 20x faster discharge is much less exciting, but would be useful for hybrid cars where fast discharge is important, allowing small, inexpensive batteries to be used for regenerative braking purposes. Not a range improver for plug-ins though.
Any speculation on price?
Ooh! A touchscreen keyboard! I'd rather be stabbed in the eye than use that POS. The dual screen might be great for playing battleships, but it would suck for typing and doing, you know, computer stuff.
The table is missing two important rows: CPU power consumption and system price.
What? No heatpipes?
You do understand that the SSD in the Asus is a huge part - if not all - of the price difference, don't you? If you want an SSD and - I think - a lighter weight machine, get the ASUS. Otherwise or if price is more important, the MSI might be right for you. Either way, understand that other people might make the opposite choice.
I meant to say "You are right that the VIP 722 is Dish Network's current top-of-the-line DVR..."
As the post says, this is their first DVR with Sling technology built in.
Yeah. I used to have a styptic pencil and it kind of worked OK. Not great. I'd like something better. For those of you who think I don't no how to shave, I rated you up for being funny, but when your beard grows in, you may have the problem too. If not, you have rhinocerous hide for skin on your face. I don't.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
