Hacking the interface and seeing if the touch screen is better than the touch flo I tested out last month.

That and rocking 16 bit mono streams with EDGE whist my European cousin does it UTMS style.
I suppose you could (and in fact when you go downhill on a Seg it does feed juice back into the batts) but it wouldn't be all that effective... that little thing called entropy always gets in the way.

As for battery drain. I keep hearing about it but my (used) 180 gets me all around downtown Chicago (4-8 miles) without ever getting below 3/4 depletion.
How about smart communication managers with integrated 3G/WiFi SIP phones that are preset with secure wifi and 3G settings that automatically in the background detect the strongest and most reliable communication method and route all data (including VPN) and voice though it.

How about wireless 2-peice units: a base unit with processor and storage that you keep in your pocket or attaches to a belt and a handheld peripheral unit with antennae, screen, speaker, mic, etc.
This is old news. The link's been active for a week now.

@ryanworrell: There is no such beast. You should get a decent PIM backup by sync-ing with Outlook (including notes)- if that's not good enough for you then google is your friend. Settings for everything else should be written down.

Your 3rd party apps *may* not work under WM6...yet. Networking/VPN programs esp. including BBC.

If you need to downgrade because WM6 doesn't float your boat then head over to xda-developers.com and search the forums and wiki (warning: do not post without searching first or you'll get flamed).
This social engineering vector was postulated almost 3 years ago in 2600. What I want to know is, what took so long?
Vario- T* lens! Yesssssss! Finally a new product with a Zeiss lens. My Contax U4R was starting to look a little dated- though with only a 2 mp increase on stills it's not life changing...but it'll do.

The price isn't bad either. I had expected these to retail above 2 grand especially with the weak dollar.
Doesn't anyone at the NYT bother to be an organ donor or do leg work anymore? These codes have been on the backside of driver's licenses in about 1/2 the states in the union. Mine gets scanned by security at about a dozen buildings I visit in downtown Chicago.
Well congrats to HP for envisioning in the future what I do now with my TyTN: One-button secure access to all my clients' servers.

Way to go HP. Really cutting edge. Hey, I have an idea you might like: its a portable MP3 player linked to a online music store. I call it HyPe-tunes.
This is old news. NATO has been doing this with down-looking AWACS radar and VCR tapes for 20+ years-mostly to look for supply and refueling depots. All they're doing is freshing it up with hi-rez video and digital storage methods.

@Dave: the family nature of this forum prohibits me from making the freakishly caustic remark owed to the dopey comments about your wife, your married, she sunbathes, we get it.
$100 bucks to the first person who can mod MacSapien so he fries My Little Pony into cinders.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
