It is like what intel did with "centrino" . every idiot in the world wanted a "centrino" laptop, even though all it meant was it had a wireless card, and a particular cpu and chipset.

Its a similar thing, and people just got used to centrino as "good" because well people are stupid and can't understand that turbo + disi or wireless card made by intel with low power cpu, mean the same thing

I would go , that is really stupid. Lets say he spent $10 on a pencil. Maybe he really liked that pencil , but it was pretty stupid to spend $10 on a pencil, and I'd say... you are stupid, why did you spend $10 on a pencil that doesnt even write that well.

So he woudl say somethingl ike "its a free country I can spend my money on what I want". To which I would usually reply. Yes you are free to be stupid.

The X6 and any other "coupe-like suvs sport things" as a vehicle class is generally stupid. I can even buy an suv that has a bigger engine that is fast. Maybe you want both and can only have 1 car.. ok sure. But the X6 is a bad SUV that has no utility or much offroad capability made to go fast. Maybe it is an exercise in style, which generally is a stupid use of money. But people are free to buy it. But this excercise in style over substance will still be generally regarded as a stupid decision or at least wasteful. Hell sports cars are wasteful in general, this one is just EXTRA wasteful and stupid use of resources.

I'm sure GM is still a part of a lot of ETFs and mutual funds. the managers of those funds should be shot for not removing it from the fund, but they dont care.

they get a management fee regardless, and people just keep buying passively with their 401k withholdings like idiots.

well it is based on the cruze which is supposed to be a much sportier car than the echo / yaris or whatever the prius is based on (the 1st gen prius was based on the echo, i am not sure about the 2nd and 3rd, though i'm sure they share a lot).


Not to mention almost anything is sportier than a toyota in every single segment of cars.
