Jun 12th 2008 7:46AM i drive an 05 acura TSX.
the manual says 5000 miles for extra urban driving and 10000 miles for normal. and thats on regular oil.
of course the dealer says 3000 miles.
i used to live in LA and did it every 5000, now i live in the bay area where theres probably 1/4 the traffic and do it every 10k.
have about 40k miles on the car, and it hasnt had a problem.
so i suppose if honda says its ok its ok . i figure if i followed the dealer, i'd be using up 3 times as much motor oil.

May 23rd 2008 9:37PM i went to see it in person and the new grill is terrible inperson too. you can literally use it as a mirror.
i havent test driven it yet, but i've herad the new electric power steering is terrible based on some reviews that siad it was twitching and did not have much feel.
i drive a 2005 TSX and well, basically the grill alone has convinced me not to get a 2009 model (going to look for a new car next year)
Mazda survey reveals pricing and packages for Mazda6 {Autoblog}
May 8th 2008 4:47PM the ms6 did not sell well not because it was expensive. it was because it made no sense.
first off it isnt as sporty as other turbo awd vehicles. it didnt come in an auto or anything for "family size" vehicles. and it has a pretty jarring suspension. that and it burns gas like crazy.
a friend of mine bought one when it came out for msrp. he likes it, but he feels bad that they were giving them away for 8 grand of sticker later.
i mean the v6 version was somethingl ike 5 grand less. it made no sense and people still think of 4 cylinders as worse even with a turbo. especially on a mazda 6 which doesnt have the boy racer appeal of say an evo.

Mar 27th 2008 4:13AM you actually can just walk into the garage. I used to work for a software company that was in the same building as edmunds (its the yahoo center in santa monica now).
edmunds moved across the street to the "water garden" complex. its pretty expensive. but edmunds parks all their test and review cars with all the other office cars. they even do that photoshoots down there sometimes (i saw them doing it for an Z4 M coupe once)

Feb 27th 2008 4:21AM the "diesel gas premium" many quote is pretty pointless as everyone always quotes regular gas .
first off, diesel generally at least in california costs about the same as premium. it varies a bit more as not every station has it. that said, sometimes it costs the same as regular, sometimes about the same as plus "89" and sometimes like right now 10 cent smore than premium in some towns (it varies during the year).
that said you cant compare it to regular, with this particular car. pretty much every car that is german that even has a diesel or diesel equivalent possibly coming runs on premium.
its all mercedes , vws , bmws, and maybe the acuratsx/honda accord diesel.
the tsx takes premium, and all bmws , audis and mercs do. this TT for example the 2.0 T takes premium. so the per gallon premium at most during the year, at least in my observation is 10 cents more than premium, and at times of the year and depending on where you live it could actually cost 15-20cents less than premium and cost the same as regular.

Jan 17th 2008 8:08PM a celeron 420, 1gb of ram and 80gb hard drive is plenty of computer even for XP. I run an ubuntu 7.10 machine with more or less the same specs (celeron 420, 1gb ddr2-400 and a 40gb sata to be specific) and its very very fast even using intel gma 950.
not to mention this should mean the machine is upgradeable as motherboards that support celeron 420 can support all 800 bus Core 2 chips at the least. so you can probably get a celeron dual e1200, or a e4600 core 2 duo in that box later on as well.
$200 might be all a lot of people have to spend, and this system is far better than the walmart unit with the VIA c7 in it. probably twice as fast. I would consider picking this up, and the best part is you dont have to buy it from the evil walmart.
