Ask Engadget: What's the best nettop out there now? {Engadget}
Jul 9th 2009 9:41PM We have an Asus EeeTop and it's stellar at doing very mundane things like the OP mentioned. Quiet, reliable, and cheap...what's not to like?

How would you change the Palm Pre? {Engadget}
Jul 4th 2009 12:28AM Your post contains almost nothing factual. For example, you can easily save MP3s on the Pre by (a) moving them via USB from your computer (using the USB mass storage mode), (b) downloading them from a website or server, or (c) emailing them to the phone, all in addition to buying them via Amazon. Moreover, it streams like a son-of-a-gun on Sprint's EVDO network, so I just keep all my music at home and stream them in via Orb when I want to listen to something. That way, on-board storage is mostly pointless (only relevant when I'm on a plane, and I always have my laptop in that situation anyway).
VNC on the Palm Pre lets you look at your desktop from afar, but not touch it {Engadget}
Jun 17th 2009 7:40AM Heh...I thought this was a pretty straightforward tech reporting piece without trying to fan the flames of the fanboi wars until I got to the last sentence.
Nice try, but you'll have to say something like "will it be soon enough to keep the Pre from being utterly demolished by the new iPhone?" or "will it be soon enough to keep the Pre's momentum going to the pinnacle of smartphonedom?" I know you can do it.
Palm Pre runs Doom, smartphone-loving space marines rejoice {Engadget}
Jun 12th 2009 11:43AM Probably bad to assume that. It's software, so damn near anything's possible.

Ad impression report proves the Palm Pre is out there, somewhere {Engadget}
May 21st 2009 7:50AM So you've spent hours and hours using the Pre and webOS to know first-hand that it speaks, or are you just talking out your ass?
But then I'm sure you also engage in vigorous debate over whether Angelina Jolie or Jessica Alba would be better in bed.

Toshiba's Dynabook SS RX2 with world's first 512GB SSD {Engadget}
May 14th 2009 8:18AM Some people have the money and choose to use it to buy better things. And a 12" notebook under 2.5lbs with 512GB SSD and a 12-hour battery is clearly a "better thing".
