Please don't buy the DLC. Companies need to realise that launch day DLC is just ripping customers off. Putting a character who only serves to advertise one piece of DLC (and putting him in a place where everyone will come across him) was completely immersion destroying
argh, Joystiq, it's now your mission to convince them to release Kumatanchi in the west! How can anyone see that as anything other than an incredibly cute innocent game?

I want to play it darn it ;_;
Um yeah, that last bit is way too critical. Sky have 29 HD channels and are increasing the count day by day. Freesat, an entirely free satelite service is trialing HD channels and will be rolling them out too.
Another former player here going 'meh' @ WAR.

The crafting is awful: imagine WoW's crafting, make it so that you have to manually drag and drop ingredients for every single piece you make. Now make the crafting result in pathetic enhancements that cost way too much. The poor Auction house doesn't help either.

There isn't enough PvE content. You run out of quests 2/3 through T2 and so your only solution is mob grinding or scenario grinding.

Scenarios are the worst game breaking feature. You get loot, xp, RP and gold. Lots of it too. There's no reason to do anything but scenarios. As a result, no one does Orvr or public quests and the cities are desserted.

Itemisation is appauling. Weapon skill on caster sets? If there's no carrot of uber gear for your grinding, it robs you of a lot of motivation.
Loongsong CPUs currently go up to about 1.2ghz, could be pretty powerful considering the cost. It's a MIPS cpu though so it won't run windows.
Charging a device with a series of high voltage spikes is incredibly bad for the battery
That's actually pretty good value. It's almost half what 3G equipped web browers cost. Especially as it's using the more expensive more power efficient Atom
You just have to spend some time on Reddit to learn what Militant Atheists are like.

I'm an Atheist but I respect people's right to believe in what they want so long as they don't force their views upon me. Someone who believes in a god isn't a lesser person than me, they're not stupid and they're not delusional. Yes there are extremists in every religion but there are extremist Atheists too, the people foam at the mouth when they see the word "god" in any public office, who find it amusing disrupting religous services and so on.
It's all well and good that a new build house may have a good main circuit tested for 80A but in the UK it's not uncommon for people to be living in houses that have been around since WW2 (heck my house even has a stone larder and an outdoor toilet). A lot of people have fairly old electrical circuits that won't have experienced an 80A draw for any length of time. A good number UK circuit breakers will pop out at 100A (and there will be a reason why they're rated such).

Would you want to go to sleep in a house with potentially old wiring at near full capacity?
This thing draws 70A? That's pretty much more than any appliance you'll have in your house. Something drawing up to 15KW will have a major effect on most household circuits, not only could it cause a fire for any plug outlets not directly wired to the main circuit with thick cabling, I'd imagine most fuses and circuit breakers will have a problem with a sudden draw that size. I wouldn't trust leaving this on overnight, especially in a house with old electrics...

You can't even get cabling safe for 70A draws in most DIY places around here.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
