perhaps the reason mlc-nand is not being used for this kind of application is that the rewrite cycle limit is at about 10,000 cycles, compared to 100,000 cycles for slc-nand devices, which still seems a pretty small number to me.
The critical thing that seems to be missing is the ability to cue the next song, which requires an additional sound card. Otherwise you won't be able to mix anything.
x23 - Then you are probably familiar with the non-fictional PLX explosive (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PLX). Although in this particular case it seems as if the explosive of choice was some peroxide compound.
kballs - The reason they are banning liquids, etc, from carry-on, is that it is possible to take several liquids, each, on its own harmless and non-identifiable as an explosive. But when you combine them you can get an explosive. Combining them in the cabin would be considerably easier than combining them in the cargo hold.
