yay! I can finally now have one spot to purchase apps for my non-existant meizu m8!
so is this app store for their upcoming android m8 or the winmo powered m8?
@NewL
It will if it's an ion nettop.
Hell, the aspire revo dual core version comes with a wireless keyboard and mouse for 330$ the only thing this asrock has is a larger hd (not much, still a paltry 320) and bluray...
@Nevermind
The only SE symbian phone (S60v5) is the newly released Satio. UIQ is symbian - but a different flavor and those would be the P990, W995, G900, and M600 and all their variants.
The OS on the majority of their cell phones; ie. W810, K790, W995, C905, Aino, etc are all proprietary

S40 is ... ok ... as a non-smartphone OS. They're meh. Performance isn't great - they do what's required of them and do a good job at that. However, as far as a great non-smartphone OS goes, Sony Ericsson's is one of the finest. Incredibly responsive, great multitasking, solid framework and UI. It's too bad SE seems to be so lost (UIQ, S60v5, WinMo, Android?) when it comes to a smartphone OS.
And all you will need to take advantage of this is to plunk down for a brand new phone.

I know, I know... you need the newest phone to get the newest software but Nokia is utterly terrible when it comes with this and a big reason to why my next phone isn't going to be a Nokia. Can they tell anyone why the N86 uses the older S60v3 interface and the 5630 S60v3 uses the newer interface? I mean, they came out the same month and the N series is supposed to be their best lineup. Can they tell anyone why the increased the speed of the N86 in their firmware update but decided not to do that with their N85 - despite having the same chipset? Nokia's updates are nothing more than bug fixes and tiny addons (wooo, flip phone over to silence).

Imaging the uproar if the G1 was released with Android 1.0 and then the mytouch was released a month later with 1.5 and all support for the G1 was dropped. That's how Nokia operates. Yeah - I'm a little bitter.
@Hydra
ATT uses 3G bands of 850 and 1900 for 3G (mostly 1900 - not paired)
Europe uses 1900 and 2100 for 3G
TMO US uses 1700 and 2100 for 3G (Europe and TMO pair their bands - one for uplink and one for downlink)
This keeps on coming up but is just as likely as T-Mobile acquiring Sprint...
What does Nokia have to gain?
-It's not a lack of OS (Symbian^2, ^3, and ^4 are all being developed in some capacity).
-It's not direct technology from WebOS (Symbian's widget system seems similar to WebOS 'programs')
-Maybe IP rights?

WebOS is built on Linux... so maybe something to do with Maemo?

A purchase like this does absolutely nothing to strengthen Nokia's position in the industry, IMHO
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
