Since it was the potential lawsuits and licensing issues that killed ZFS on the mac, I can only hope that they get Oracle to provide them with BTRFS. It would at least unify two of three OSes, it has all the modern features needed, going it alone for a filesystem is a ton of work and testing to get production ready, and it is much further along than anything Apple will come up with.
Well, now they will end up paying to upgrade to those block-style machines that require you to use a credit card or cash to get a sticker. Tax dollars will fund it, but at least they will finally be able to raise parking rates to something reasonable and stop subsidizing people's ownership of cars by providing free parking to them.
I am tired of the cord noise on my etymotics and these look perfect.
Too bad the hardware is so cheap and flimsy and that they are on Sprint. Verizon would have been a much better launch partner and a GSM version would have had more ability to be marketed in Europe and elsewhere.
Solution? Break up every company over $700m in revenue. Let them fight it out. More competition, less entrenched players, more innovation.
give me this sub and i will fix it.
If they would only put out an eSATA card reader...
Seriously WTF? Why keep including a keyboard on a reader? I want one on my iPhone, but I definitely don't want one on an eBook reader. A touchscreen keyboard is perfect for the limited use of typing out the occasional title... Get rid of the keyboard Amazon.
A damn indicator light. It is not rocket science.

Better bluetooth support for more devices (like a keyboard).

Auto 3G/Wifi on-and-off by location and app usage.

A way for iPhone apps to sync their files easily.
If this doesn't have a regulator for voltage, then you won't get consistent voltage if you are using it with a car adapter for example.

More importantly, why didn't they make this universal dock compatible so that it just mounts in there and has some support?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
