Yes, you're right and everyone else is wrong. That's a great approach to take.

Maybe a glossy screen looks great in your windowless office, but for many people, the glare is a major issue. For those who use their iMacs use windows, and especially for those who use their MacBooks outdoors, the glare is horrible. I have a MBP and the screen is practically useless outside unless the screen brightness is at 100%, and even then, using my computer involves lots of squinting even though my eyesight is 20/20. I'd prefer a glossy screen that didn't require so much squinting and would allow me to reduce my screen brightness. Maybe then I'd get something a bit closer to the 7 hours of battery life Apple claims.
The biggest hurdle car sharing currently faces is the fact that cars have to be returned to where they were originally parked. Although your car may sit unused for 22 hours a day, it may sit in several different locations. For example, if you wanted to take your car to a movie theatre, with car sharing, you'd have to pay for all of the hours the car is sitting in the theatre's lot. If these companies developed a way to drop off your car at a different location, it would be much more practical for people financially. True, this would also require more vehicle locations in general, so people would be able to find another vehicle to take back home. If U-Haul and standard car rental companies can offer this, why can't companies like ZipCar do the same thing? The expense of shuttling cars around might cause the hourly rate to go up, but if you are using the car for less time, it would probably save money.
I think the most important thing is that you get 40 free prints. I'm assuming you can choose to use these prints on photos from a quality digital camera, and if so, it's a decent incentive to buy a $50 target gift card. (The camera itself, though, is another story. What a wasteful piece of trash.)
And by major carriers, you aren't including AT&T, T-Mobile, and Alltel. Why?

Also, the razr was only released four years ago, and it wasn't really sold to the masses on all carriers until about three years ago.
Creative names, like Samsung SGH-e105?

The idea behind naming things with, well, words instead of numbers is that the product will be more recognizable by typical consumers. People can remember a word more easily than a long model number. It's SUPPOSED to be more consumer-friendly, and a great way to market a product, but unfortunately, that doesn't really work when there are several products with the same name.

when you live in chicago and the sales tax is 10.25%, doubling the sales tax results in a larger tip than moving the decimal to the left and doubling it. many other major cities have sales taxes that are around 8-9%, which would result in a 16-18% tip, which shouldn't classify them as a cheapskate.

anyone who needs help figuring out a tip of roughly 20% needs to go to a basic math class. whipping out any sort of electronic device to determine a tip is never hot.
That pricing is pretty ridiculous considering any current T-Mobile customer can get a full data plan, with hotspots included, for an extra $19.99/month. And 3g soon, too. I'd be surprised if this off-brand thing even has edge, but then again, I guess it doesn't matter that much if all you can do is send emails.
