Wasn't this out more than a year ago? Oh yeah, this is Verizon, selling you last years hardware with a less usable interface and the worst customer service imaginable.

AT&T customer service sucks for sure, but their network coverage has finally caught up to the point that it's not much of an issue, while they continue to have the better phones much much sooner, not to mention the ability to easily swap out SIMs for hassle free upgrades without permission or fees from the mothership.
Neither the Lindy nor the Monoprice box have SDIF audio out, so you can't use these with a surround sound reciever unless it has HDMI in.

Gefen's switchers are even more expensive, but they have SDIF out and can be used with any reciever with coax digital audio. Gefen also has a 4x2 switch, which is nice if you want two mirrored outputs but don't need the ridiculous Monoprice 4x4 unit. Too bad the Gefen 4x2 is almost $500! Does anyone else make a 4x2 switcher with a separate digital audio out?
True, $7700 is a lot of scratch, but does any company make anything comparable, with 4 HDMI in and 2 DVI out and dual 5.1 output? A Gefen 4x2 hdmi/dvi switcher alone would set you back nearly a grand, and is ugly as sin.

Does anyone make anything with similar specs for south of $4K? For the aparment dweller who wants to access the same DVR, DVD changer and HTPC from two rooms, say the living room and the master bedroom, with minimal hassle, this looks like a winner, even if it does cost more than a used civic.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
