If you haven't checked the Dell replacement site, then you might want to call them.

I just got off the phone, and the website does have a bit of lag in updates... my battery did have the correct part number, but the website "No need for replacement".

I called... it's one of the batteries covered in the recall.

Glad I called... took all of 5 minutes, the guy on the phone was helpful and I'll have a new battery tomorrow or so.
oops, Savant beat me to it.
Guys... there is already a "recall" already in place.

Check your battery. You might have to still call them, my D600 has the right number(s), but once I put it in there, it stated that I was not eligible. No way I'm going to have a lapbomb sitting around just waiting though. They better replace it...
You still beleive in Santa Claus? - Rémi

Yes. And the Tooth Fairy too. They're both at my house playing Duke Nukem Forever on the Phantom console.

I'll send Wonder Woman over in her invisible jet and you can play along too!
I'd purchase one just to say I owned it... tell my kids about it.
This seriously reminds me of the long forgotten MetaCreations tool, Canoma.

This isn't my site, but here's some information about that old program. I think I still have the floppies for this laying about. Did pretty much the same thing. From picture to 3D with auto-texture mapping.

This car and the Buick concept both would be the upper echelon of this "retro craze" and I'd fully support it with a purchase.

In simpler terms... build it. Allow it to be a kit, make a left-hand drive version for us Yanks, DO SOMETHING other than try to convince me that I want a Lucerne or Pontiac GTO.
The Dukes of Hazzard : Atlantis started filming last week...
Why do I see the Gamecube "cube" in the dead center of that logo?
back to threaten you with a leg humping if I don't win... yay.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
