Scotch, scotch, scotch, I love scotch.
I would potentially pay $25-30 for a blu-ray if it was a hybrid disc that played on DVD players. I am the only one of my friends that has a Blu-ray player (PS3) and I don't see that changing anytime soon. So far I only have purchased Iron Man and just Netflix the rest.
All they need to do is come out with a new version every 6 months that makes the old like look like a turd. Haven't they learned anything from Apple.
I wanted it to be like Out of this World! It wasn't. I would love to have an XBLA or PSN version of OOTW, that would be rad.
Glad I got my MGS4 80gb bundle before they pulled BC completely!
In general, if you have never used a PC with Quicktime then you cannot argue. I generally only install it when I want to check out the movie trailers on apple's website. Then as per usual end up frustrated by the slowness and bugginess of QT.
Why not just use existing standards? My Squeezebox v3 useses *gasp* 802.11g and it works quite well. Sony is just a proprietary format whore!
I have an easy solution, go out and buy a physical CD and rip it at lossless or 320. Or buy from Amazon. Then you will have no problems because it is both Mac and PC compatible and will play on every portable device.

In other news, my Zune 80 arrived this week and I have been immersing myself in the world of Zune both software and hardware. This is where it's at. Both are great as far as I am concerned.

So as far as I am concerned go Microsoft! DRM is not something they have created so much as a world they live in as dictated by the turds over at the RIAA. I hope they spin off the Zune and gaming unit. Give Jay Allard more power and let him make shit cool.
If this thing is as good as the previous model. Its multi-user/computer network performance more than justifies the cost. With three roommates we had tons of problems staying connected to game severs on our DSL shared via $50 Linksys router until we got the DGL 4300. Two games of BF2142 and a roommate looking at porn with no problems what-so-ever. Don't be fooled by cheap, quality is where it is at... depending on circumstances of course.
I hope someone other than Apple licenses it! That way we can have multi-touch PMP's with more than 16GB of storage. 80GB or 160GB would work for me :)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
