Bicycle Ridership going down? Bike ridership in NYC is up triple digits in the last five years. Bicycle travel across the Williamsburg bridge alone has doubled since last year.

And riding on the edge of busy streets? Bicycles are vehicles and aren't allowed anywhere else but the streets (and since it sounds like you live in the suburbs, you can't ride on the sidewalks - it's against the law).

A bigger part of bicycle safety is increasing the number of bike lanes and ticketing the hell out of cars/trucks that park or stop in them.

Kill the over the air download. In using a Kindle, I would MOST CERTAINLY dump the radio for a simple WiFi chipset/docking cradle to cut a huge chunk off the price. Make it $250 and the price is just low enough to ignore the many warts of book readers at the moment (poor graphics rendering, no color, presumably still no backlight).
Guards and Voting Officials? The only staff present at most polling locations could be mistaken for John McCain's grandparents. Provide them with a piece of hard candy, and you've bought yourself 15 minutes to hack the machine.
NCIX isn't offering the same version. There are two main differences: 1) the webcam is a .3 megapixel, not a 1.3 megapixel camera 2) The keyboard is an international version. In addition to having multiple markings for accents and characters, the shiftkey has been halved to make room for other functions.

I am still waiting for 6 cell Acer Aspire One that has yet to be delivered to any vendors. CDW was supposed to have stock yesterday, but Acer didn't make the scheduled delivery. It is getting ridiculous.
It's just an Acer Aspire One. But if Acer or Packard Bell could actually deliver ANY of their 6-cell offerings anytime soon, that would be a better business decision. I'm tired of waiting and may cancel my pre-orders to find something else.
Ultimate Buds!

They are the best, because they keep the best function, the original iPhone mic/clicker. They re-wire earbuds of your personal preference and you keep a really well designed inline mic. Also, if the cord breaks/fails, you can replace just the cord, not the entire set of earphones. Absolutely the best.

Honestly, this initiative would also make the government more accountable. This isn't about penalizing companies for their success (anti-free market)...but adding transparency.

Truth in fees and final bills is very important for consumers and it also highlights the amount of money that has been tacked on by state and federal authorities. The monthly charge service charge(s) should be posted as final price, not before taxes and fake regulatory fees. Hell, some companies are a few dollars more expensive than others because of their own inhouse fees (ah, the regulatory recovery fee...).

This doesn't hamstring companies (financially or in sacrificing sales), it just gives consumers better choices and transparency. Put aside partisan and idealogical differences aside, every taxpayer should support a government that gives you choice and transparency.
I uninstalled and reinstalled...
Grrr....takes up ~400MB on the iPhone...how can we delete the firmware image after it's been installed? And despite being 1.1.3, the google maps locate me feature has yet to work (just continues searching).
Works beautifully! Don't forget to donate to the Dev Team.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
