@ joe

Keyword, *friends*.

I do, however agree with you
I think the real questions here are:
1) can you still share the game with 5 of your friends if you buy it from Gamestop vs. the PSN?

2) are there still unlimited downloads if you accidentally delete the game from your PS3's HDD?
I can't argue with that. Some of the worst problems I have with GT is the passive, non aggressive AI. Although I do believe that it has improved since previous iterations, that is one area where FM has GT beat dead. I did enjoy that in FM that all of the AI had their own tendencies and personalities.

Here's hoping that AI is something that is addressed in GT5.
Totally not being a dick here, but may I ask how FM2 has forced you out of your comfort zone by racing different classes of cars in any way, shape or form, besides being prettier to look at? I mean, the GT series has done this since its first iteration. That is really is one of the defining elements of the series.
I love how Forza is engaged in some kind of war on Gran Turismo that Kaz and his team aren't even aware of. How can the "baton" have been passed to Turn10 when GT5 isn't even out yet? I've played FM2, and it was a great game but it isn't even the same kind of racer as GT. GT is a true console sim, while FM is more of an customizalble arcade racer with pretty graphics and good physics. FM is a respectable game, but let me know when the boys at Turn10 sell upwards of 45+ million copies of their franchise(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gran_Turismo_(series). Or how about GT5 Prologue selling in excess of 3 million copies on a much smaller user base, http://www.vgchartz.com/games/game.php?id=6972, vs. FM2 lifetime sales of 3.98 million (http://www.vgchartz.com/games/game.php?id=6076) despite having the baton passed to them.

Sounds to me that they've only been passed 1/12th of the baton.
@homunculus, and Mark.

I thought I was the only one who remembered that from the whistle tips video.

That video is gold!

+1, both of you
A little extreme? Autoblog, ban this man.

I kid.

Or do I?
Developer phone? Or maybe you're running a custom ADP firmware on your G1? Did you buy it used?
Sounds like you've got a faulty phone as my G1 does non of these things. The 1.5 update should only bring improvements, not flat out fixes since there aren't too many things to fix anyway.
Depends on how much T-Mobile loves its customers.

Fixed that for ya.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
