Your Bill Gates interview (number 1) was very well done and one of my faves; number 2 was pretty darn good too!

Something good for GSM would be best!
Oy, 700w would be sweeeet!
Keep in mind that SanDisk dwarfs Rio - they're a huge company, with hands in many pies. To them MP3 players are just an extension of their flash drive business, which has an existing world-wide distribution and a solid brand behind it. Which makes it kind of funny that with very little trying they beat Creative's fervent MP3 push.
You guys are HILARIOUS! Every time Engadget even mentions an iPod in a post (and funnily enough, sometimes even when they don't mention any Apple products at all) you acuse them as being in Apple's pocket. Since today they didn't name any Apple products now they're in Microsoft's pocket. Yeah right. Chill out people, if you think a site has an agenda that bothers you then just stay away, stop contradicting each other - it makes you look stupid.
As others pointed out it seems Bill hasn't really read too much about OLPC:

- Mesh network is one of the major selling points of OLPC, network brings the power to this device; and no, there is no cell coverage in most of the areas OLPC is targetting
- It includes a screen - if they could afford a TV (or power it), they could just buy a second hand computer and plug it in.
- You can wind-up OLPC to power it, without any external power source.
Kingston is one of the U3 licensee's, so this could be a really powerful solution. Unfortunately, when I read their press release I didn't notice any mention of U3 - if that device has no U3 support it would not be quite as functional. I started a blog on these types of topics (that's a nice site too, John), it's at

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a wireless trackpad to use with my older (2.5 or so years old) C2D MacBook that's perpetually docked to my home theater. Something sleek, thin, not too small, made of high quality materials. Ideally, it would natively support all of (Snow) Leopard's multitouch inputs, and even more ideally, it would have a charging dock / base. The only problem is that I'm not sure that such a thing even exists. Think you can throw me a bone?"
