I don't understand this "sex appeal" thing. Is the HDMI port in the shape of a vagina, or does the remote double as a dildo? I detest the use of the phrase "sex appeal" to describe non-erotica electronica.
Fackin' non-crippled/locked GPS.
I have been a PC user for more than 20 years. I bought a Mac Mini in 2005 to use Garageband to produce two CD's. I replaced that Mac Mini a few months ago with a new MacBook Pro 13". I really like it. I have thought that perhaps I could have just spent the money on a PC rig, like a Thinkpad X200 and used my existing software to get the job done, but nothing can get the basic music editing done like GarageBand. I bought Logic Express and Final Cut Express, but both seem to have such a steep learning curve that I am waiting until I actually have time to dig deeper into them before using them. I got the Snow Leopard update, but haven't installed it yet...my audio interface box doesn't yet have drivers for it. Once it does, on it goes.
I want an ultraportable the same form factor as the old HP 200lx or Psion Series 5 with XP or Linux that can run for two weeks on two AA batteries.
I really loved Sony's T series...never was able to afford one, though. The TZ looked sweet in the extreme, but I didn't feel like taking out a mortgage to buy one. Today I use an Asus HE1000 netbook for most of my portable tasks, and it works just fine.
I am glad that Canon dropped the megapixel count...14.7 megapixels on a small sensor was just too much. What the G12 needs is an actual dSLR sensor. I just bought a Rebel XSi because I was tired of low-light noise in my point and shoot Canon. I also REALLY like the wide-angle option...I do storm photography.
When engaged in one task, the brain diminished attention on others. No matter how good people think they are at multitasking, research has shown that we are not.

Students who text in class are going to miss information they need to develop skills, and therefore develop them more slowly, if at all. Kids who are likely to text during class would find some other distraction if texting were not available, so I would have to posit that it's not the texting that makes them stupid, but a predilection for self-distraction that sabotages their education and can ultimately lead to the perception that they lack intelligence.

That goofy-looking kid in the photo would seem to look like the poster boy for stupidity, but who knows what the real story is? Appearances can be deceiving.
My honors students need calculators to multiply or divide by 10, how pathetic is that???
Wow, some people here have serious anger issues and possible borderline personality disorder. It's just a friggin' phone, nothing to get so emotional over!
Unreal. I have never heard such bitterness over what? A kid inventing something?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
