Mar 18th 2009 11:56AM Come on Engadget. Python is ALL OVER Ubuntu. It's being used ALOT in the FOSS world and it very easy to get up to speed on. Python is not a strange language to use at all for something like this. Just because it isn't .Net or Cocoa doesn't mean it's crap.
