Sent a photo of my Wii on one of our cats to SOMC the morning the Wii came out. Never used it.
I had to fight the urge, after leaving GameStop at 12:05am, to drive past the front of Best Buy cackling while waving my Wii out the window (or is that illegal... ha ha ha).
Our GameStop had their 14 pre-ordered systems and not one more. (A dozen people camping at BB across the way shortly after midnight too). I only got Twilight Princess, most people got at most one or two games... if any. GS had almost no accessories, 2 sling bags, a couple storage things, some Wiimote skins, and -- get this -- one Wiimote. No nunchucks (and nobody seemed to be getting extras with their pre-order either). Not much head-to-head Wii Sports Boxing in Yuma, AZ, today.
ABCnews.com reported that the TRU there was a madhouse... 600 people earlier, with under a hundred at NW, so I'm not sure which they mean.

And I wouldn't fret about getting coverage up tonight. Other than us on the West Coast, nobody's gonna be here... we're all either gearing up to go pick up our midnight release or going to bed early for a dark-AM campout. :)

Seems like the last two weeks went by really fast, too!

My favorite aspect is being able to comment (since some blogs are still in the stone age when it comes to comments). Maybe a daily/weekly non-blogger rant post would be interesting... or maybe not.
So are they in that long, skinny spot right before the stairs down to the rest of the central hall? That's the spot they're in EVERY year for NAB...
f/X: the Series. Why? They didn't use but maybe 3 actual songs the entire two seasons. The rest was all done for the show? Will it ever come out on DVD? I guess if shows that only lasted SIX episodes are coming out we can still hope.
"Very cool. I dont think there is a real need for it in civilian uses. We have properly insulated vehicles that doesn't cause too much problems with heat."

Yeah, but try working in construction or other outdoor jobs in SW Arizona where it gets up to 120° in the summer, and tell me there's no need for it.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"For a long time I have been searching for a portable device where I can store all of my CDs in MP3 format and stream the songs wirelessly to my HiFi system. The portable device must I've tried FM transmitters, they all suck. I don't want a docking station. Any help? Thanks!" have a display so that I easily can scroll through the playlists (I don't want to use a TV or monitor). I suppose that there must also be a second device that is connected to the HiFi system that would receive the wireless streams from the portable device.
