I agree he was a horrible spokesman. But he's actually the designer of the vehicle, and has more money than any of us could ever dream of having. Oh, and he's a bit of a bastard, too.
The guy showing off the Peapod is Peter E. Arnell (the PEA in Peapod), and is also the guy behind the new Pepsi logo and the short lived Tropicana redesign.
My iPhone replacement charger didn't come in the same size box as my iPhone. It came in a small, plastic box, like the shuffles. Don't know what you're talking about, but maybe they changed them.
I wonder who thought to themselves, "You know what? The only thing wrong with a phone in landscape mode is the keyboard is too wide! Let's figure out a way to make a landscape phone with a narrow keyboard! THAT's what consumers want!"
I really hope they succeed. I might even be able to overlook the hideous lines of that car, if it helps the earth any (but seriously, guys... Jesus! Turn the lights on before you design a new car!)
I really hope they add the Philippines before October. I was so excited to see the Philippines on the list of 70.
But! It links to the US page for the iPhone. In fact, all the nav links on that temporary "We'll be back soon" page are to US pages, unlike the rest of the Canadian site. I'd say they're just using the same temporary "we'll be back soon" page on both country's sites. That's not to say the Canadian iPhone isn't coming, but I don't think the navigation bar should be used as much of a herald of what's to come.
I'm surprised a Ween fan would hate Macs so much
2006? Did you really just say 2006? We're nearing the end of 2007, guys! Haha. It's all right. I still occasionally write "2004" on my checks.
The thing is, Andrew, this post and poll isn't about whether the iPhone is worth what it's priced, or if Apple culture is all it's cracked up to be. It's about whether people are still having problems activating their iPhones, which is a problem on AT&T's end, not Apple's. That's what ITR was saying.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
