Aug 18th 2008 5:31PM So, the Android Developers Blog mentions that they (the Open Handset Alliance) have been working to "finish the first devices." which will be "shipping in the fourth quarter." Anyone know what devices (besides the HTC Dream, of course) they're referring to? Might we actually see Android somewhere else before the year's out?

Jan 5th 2007 2:58PM thanks, jess, for pointing that out - i retract my previous comment...but still refuse to use it as a noun, personally.
john, i knew someone would see that sooner rather than later ;)
engadget, myriad away in whatever word class you choose.
iChat's Update 1.0 promises secretive functionality, speculation abounds {Engadget}
Jan 5th 2007 2:48PM let's not get so excited here folks - we're playing right into stevie's hands. someone's got a case of the pre-macworld jitters.
a) of course an iPhone is on it's way (hell, it's already here thanks to Cisco)
b) apple's got some sort of phone handset in the works with taiwanese manufacturer Hon Hai after all.
c) apple and cingular are already good buddies, for better or for worse (cingular's data rates, WTF!?)
d) brendan's right, iChat for PCs will follow, especially after a VoiPhone. (and bredan, we've all been talking about it for at least a year)
e) steve, i'm sure they'll include video conferencing...why the heck wouldn't they?
f) and yes, folks, this was a software update. that's all.
keep your pants on. macworld's next week, we can drop 'em and bend over then ;)

Jan 5th 2007 2:24PM Seriously, I love you guys at engadget, but can we remember that the word "myriad" isn't followed by the word "of." It's used just like the word "many."
Hate to be such a stickler, but it pains me.
Thanks, folks.

Aug 16th 2006 4:09PM #14, the Pzizz, plz!
Upon reading the pzizz site (while unrelaxed, unmotivated, and fidgeting in my chair), I learned it's for helping you powernap and relax by simulating REM sleep. Well, for a while now, I've been deprived of REM due to a medical condition - I'd do anything to get it back, even if it's simulated (hell, i've let other gadgets simulate, um, other things)! Also, I've never been able to nap (um, ADHD much?).
With that said, not too much in this world would make me happier than a gadget from engadget (especially a mac-friendly one!), but in the long run, your presence is presents enough for me.
Thanks!!
