My boss purchased a 50 inch Samsung Plasma and connected it to a PC, it burned in within days. We were able to fix it after a week of displaying something less static, so the damage was not permanent but it was annoying as hell.

I purchased an LCD with LED back lighting but not because of any fear of burn-in. I would recommend a plasma to anyone unless they plan to display very static images for long periods of time.
@eternalevolution This movie was not the worst movie by a long shot, it's not even the worst Terminator movie. But it wasn't very good either. If you are a fan of Terminator I would recommend checking it out.
"So when are they going to start making movies that look good in Blu-ray?"

Liza Minnelli tweets. It's over.
"EPIC FAILURE that LOST has turned out to be."

?!?!?! Have you even watched any of Lost (after Season 3 which did almost kill Lost for me)?
Sylar is the only thing left (almost) worth watching now. The Carnival leader guy is not bad, but everything else (even Ray Park) sucks. Hiro used to be cool, but now he'd dying and I don't care.
I thought rich people didn't actually have a lot of cash on them at any time...
Didn't the Wii come out after PS3 and 360?
I don't understand why people who live in places that AT&T sucks would buy an iPhone. I have one and am very happy with it. But I only purchased it because I was with AT&T already and they are strong in my area. Verizon rocks here too, so I would have gone with iPhone if it was Verizon. Sprint or T-Mobile, no way.
OLED does seem to be coming out in a lot of gadgets, but I think the more it's used, the cheaper it will get and we will start to get full size HDTVs for less than the current 11" Sony one sooner than we all thought.

I can wish, can't I?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new laptop, and I want a 13-incher. I need something with a great keyboard for typing, as this will mostly be used for note taking in class. I am absolutely smitten with the XPS 13, but I'm afraid that with its age Dell is going to give it an update soon. Any advice for someone in my shoes?"
