Whether the title is "sure-to-be-shortly-held" or not, it really is an accomplishment to fit a 7x optical zoom into a camera barely 3/4" thick. Less than two years ago, I bought a 6x optical zoom equipped Panasonic LZ-1 that was well more than twice that thick, and it was the thinnest available at the time with so much optical zooming power.
This was pretty hilarious, as are most of TJI's videos. But are they going to remain free, or will you be charging for a subscription?

The culmination of two years of technological advances since the first Razor is this overly tall clunker that can practically look a soda can in the eye? I remember when I got my first flip-phone five years ago with its sub-2" screen. I knew screens would be color within the year--in fact, I ended up purchasing the first color-screen phone available in the U.S. just a few months later--but I also assumed that the screen's size would soon reach to almost the very edge of the flip. Five years later the latest "gotta have" phone has a giant flip and a tiny screen? Who'da thunk? And that's before mentioning all the other deficincies of this handset. Whether it comes to Sprint or not, will stick with my Fusic.
That might explain the nearly complete lack of smiling faces in the photos.

"we may not necessarily sit up and take notice per say"

As a daily reader of Engadget, I do sit up and take notice every time "per se" is misspelled--which is frequently.
$99 is actually not a bad price for a media player with a 2.2" screen, 512MB onboard and SD expansion capability. Much depends, of course, on the screen's resolution and the overall functionality of the player. Provided those pass muster, and if one can overlook the Mickey Mouse layout of the primary controls (which should be easier to do with the chrome finish this model also comes in), the Mix Max might not be a bad choice even for those who are long removed from Disney's target kiddie set.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
