Thank you evan, Fred, and all other responders for pointing out this gross error in slamming the Mandarin dialect. I have several friends who are international travelers (teachers, businessmen, military and missionaries) and they all tell me that English is the most important international language, but Mandarin is absolutely second in importance and continuing to grow - especially in the international business community.

For a company based in NY I am disappointed in Darren's apparent ignorance of the international community. But whatever, I guess it's just a tech blog for geeks - who cares if it's accurate... oh wait.
This would rock even if I weren't a trekkie.
Quantum of Solace should go down in history as one of the best movie titles ever. Besides just having interesting words, it concisely describes the plot as sequel to the previous movie. Props to whomever came up with that title!
These ARE the droids I'm looking for. Now give them to me and let me witness the awesome power of the force!
One post. One prize.

(Engadget rocks and they give away prizes!)
I for one welcome our flying police robot overlords.
Mock if you want, but I smell a replicator (just in time for me to replicate my new hip in 50 years).
H.U.D., H.U.D., H.U.D., when will they learn. Forget the screen and build me a Heads Up Display for double the price, and I'll buy it in a nanosecond.
Don't forget that weight and cost are huge considerations before this tech goes anywhere.
Is it just me, or is there some serious phallic symbology in all of these designs.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
